TV Controls, Surround Sound, and Internet troubleshooting

First off, please do not unplug any cables from the TV or audio equipment. It will render these instructions worthless and make other guests very unhappy when things don’t work properly. Thank you so much!

If you want to plug in a gaming system via HDMI, please use the HDMI port on the front of the Denon Receiver. Using the Denon Remote, choose the AUX option as your source.

Samsung TV Remote: This remote will turn the TV on and off. It will also turn the Denon Receiver on and off at the same time. If the TV and Receiver get out of sync, use the remote for the Denon Receiver to turn it on or off so it is in the same state as the television (both are off or both are on). The SOURCE button will allow you to choose the streaming app you want to use.

Denon Receiver Remote: To listen to the sound through the surround sound system, make sure the receiver is turned on and choose the “TV AUDIO” option as the audio source. The only time the source might change is if you use the Spotify Connect feature to play music from your phone via the stereo system. Or if you have plugged in a gaming system into the AUX HDMI port on the front of the Denon Receiver.

If the sound is too loud using surround sound, you can turn off the receiver using the Denon Receiver Remote (Power button). The sound will then come from the TV itself. To restore sound to the receiver, turn it back on, and select the “TV AUDIO” button.

Network & Cable TV

Use the Fubo TV app to watch network television and cable channels you’re used to watching like ESPN, TNT, etc. The Samsung remote control will allow you to access Fubo and other streaming apps on the TV. Push the Source button on the remote to view the various streaming apps available.

Please do not log out of the Fubo App! And please do not purchase any additional plans or packages.

Sound & Surround Sound

To use the surround sound, you must turn on the Denon Receiver. And you must make sure the source is set to “TV AUDIO” (see image above). Use the “SOUND MODE” (Movie, Music, Game) controls to adjust the sound if you like.

Internet Troubleshooting

If the Internet goes out or is not working, unplug the router by pulling the cord out of the back of it. Wait 10 seconds and plug it back in. The router is on the bottom shelf of the TV stand in the lower right-hand corner. DO NOT attempt to unplug the router from the power strip. Pull the cord out of the back of the router itself.
